Ormiston Chadwick students ready for the next steps

Students at Ormiston Chadwick Academy in Widnes,

Cheshire, are ready to embark on the next stage of their education journey after receiving their GCSE results.

The academy provides many varied exciting enrichment opportunities, including numerous sports’ clubs, a cooking club, LGBTQ+ club and origami, as well as trips nationally and internationally.

Following the GCSE results and the continued success of the academy, which is sponsored by Ormiston Academies Trust (OAT), some individual highlights included:

Sophie Pitt achieved seven grade 9s, in maths, physics, chemistry, biology, history, English literature and art, and two grade 8s and a D*. Sophie will study A-levels in maths, further maths and physics at Cronton College.

Joel Barnett achieved six grade 9 grades in maths, physics, chemistry and biology, geography and art, a grade 8 in English literature, a grade 7 in English language and a distinction* in dance. Joel will study A-levels in biology, chemistry, maths and further maths at Carmel College.

Lily Cho achieved a grade 9 in biology, grade 8s in maths, English language, physics, Spanish and business, a grade 7 in English literature, a grade 6 in history as well as a distinction* in BTEC PE and distinction in DiT. Lily will attend Carmel College to study A-levels in biology, chemistry, history and maths.

Vyara Mihova achieved five grade 9s in maths, biology, chemistry, history and Spanish, grade 8s in English literature and physics, a distinction* in BTEC PE, a grade 7 in music and a grade 6 in English language.
