Start your career with a study programme at St Helens Chamber

St Helens Chamber is running two exciting study programmes in digital marketing and accountancy starting September 2022.

These programmes last for seven months during which time students will gain a nationally recognised Level 2 qualification in their chosen field, get real work experience in a placement with a local company, 15 free driving lessons, enjoy an allexpenses paid study trip and much more.

Laura Brogden, head of career development at St Helens Chamber, said: “The study programmes are an ideal way for young people aged 16-18 to get a head start in their chosen career. Whichever path they choose, they will benefit from expert training and the opportunity to take part in several activities to make their CV stand out to potential employers.

“Last year the study programme students took a trip to Colomendy, where they worked on their teamwork skills and confidence. Alongside this they worked on a fundraising project and had access to business talks and seminars to boost their knowledge.”

On completing the programme, students will get a guaranteed interview for a Level 3 apprenticeship – and will have plenty to talk about at interview stage from their experience and various enrichment activities.

“The study programme gives students the knowledge they need to enter the working environment, and the practical skills they need to hit the ground running. This, alongside the enrichment activities, means that students will leave the programme ready to enter the world of work, and will stand out to employers now and in the future.”
