“Well Done” to the class of ’21

For the second time in a week, staff and students at St Margaret’s celebrated the amazing achievements of their students in public exams.

The academy’s sixth form students achieved some very impressive A-level and BTEC results. It was then the turn of the Year 11 students, as the exam boards published GCSE and Level 2 BTEC results.

Principal, Stephen Brierley said: “So many of our students have done spectacularly well!”

“This year-group’s GCSE and BTEC courses have been hugely disrupted by the pandemic, yet so many of them have worked consistently hard throughout the various lockdowns and can be so proud of their results.”

Stephen was quick to pay tribute to the teachers and support staff who have also contributed to such a bumper crop of results, he said: “Of course, results like these don’t happen by accident, each grade has come about as a result of carefully-planned and sequenced teaching, consistent academic and pastoral support, and gentle encouragement too.

“Well done to the class of ’21! We’re thrilled with your achievements and proud of each and every one of you. Many, many congratulations.”
