With the community in mind

The Big Condo Training Academy CIC is the newest NCFE certified education provider to hit the Liverpool education scene.

The academy focus on music, media, film, beauty and fashion and have partnerships with The City of Liverpool College, Liverpool City Council and several other organizations within the employability, upskilling and education industry. The academy is based just off Vauxhall Road, Liverpool.

Big Condo Academy, said about the academy: “We are here to help schools and colleges, with the hard to reach children and young adults who struggle within a school environment, we have a relaxed therapeutic approach with the students and have multiple mentors to look after the students on their journey.

“We cover a lot of practical work and theory. The students have the opportunity to film with industry-standard cameras, engineer in our purpose-built music, podcast, and video studios, and work on real projects, so they also get a taste of the industry first hand. We are looking to work with more schools and colleges as the new term starts.”

The academy says it is passionate about looking after learners and is looking to partner with more schools, colleges and universities to offer apprenticeships, traineeships, work placements and experience for students. It also holds NCFE accredited courses in creative media, employability, music, radio production, and journalism.

The academy has support from the government department of digital, culture and media, The City Of Liverpool College, Liverpool City Council, The National Lottery, Tesco, LCVS, the Community Foundation, the European Social Fund, WEA and more.

It is holding several upcoming community projects for people to get involved with including, a music video workshop, modelling and photography projects, artist development for young musicians and a feature film project. It also has a digital tool kit employability course for people who are not in employment or education, which covers all types of media running from October to December.

The Big Condo Academy is also in the middle of setting up its beauty department and will be offer courses in beauty therapy soon. It has accredited, non-accredited courses and one-off workshops for which you can register at www.bigcondoacademy.co.uk
