SFX rejoice over amazing A-level and BTEC results

It was a day full of celebrations at St Francis Xavier’s College in Woolton on A-level and BTEC results day.

There were many success stories throughout the day which were celebrated by both students and staff.

Jevvie Mehmeti obtained 3 grade Bs in English literature, geography and history. Jevvie is off to study law at the University of Liverpool.

Adel Khaled-Jhayem came to the UK in Year 9, having spent some years out of education.

Upon joining SFX he was supported by his local parish who played an important role in helping Adel adjust to life in the UK as well as school.

Adel has worked tirelessly learning English and working towards his dream of becoming a doctor. His hard work rewarded in him achieving A-level grade A in Arabic and a Distinction* in business studies. Adel is off to embark on a career as a doctor at the University of Central Lancashire.

Max Devlin achieved two grade As in psychology and history in addition to a grade C in English literature. Max will be studying criminology and psychology at Liverpool John Moores University.

Joining Max at LJMU is

Matthew Dodson, who achieved 2 grade As in business studies and English literature and a grade B in computer science. Matthew will study computer science at the university.

Leighton Maher achieved an A in biology and grade B in chemistry and mathematics. Leighton has decided to have a gap year before commencing a course in dentistry.

Staff at the school were immensely proud of students on the special day.
